Privacy Policy

This page is available in English only; the English version prevails.
This policy explains what data the FeedLens Chrome extension and the FeedLens website (feedlens.xeviora.com) collect, and why. Our core principle is simple: your feeds and reading history stay on your device, and AI features are strictly opt-in.
1. Who is responsible
FeedLens is a product of Xeviora, a brand operated by LIU HU, a sole proprietor, who is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: support@xeviora.com
2. Your reading data stays local
The extension stores your subscriptions, folders, read/starred state, and cached article content in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data is never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can export or delete it at any time from the extension’s Settings (OPML export and JSON backup).
Fetching a feed or extracting an article’s full text is a direct request from your browser to the publisher’s server. We do not proxy, log, or see those requests.
3. AI processing (opt-in)
AI features — TLDR/Summarize, Translate, Daily Digest, and Smart Filter/Focus — are disabled by default. To provide them, when you explicitly trigger one, only the specific text you act on (e.g., the article you’re summarizing, or the titles/summaries you’re filtering) is sent to our backend, which forwards it to our AI service providers (OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to, such as Anthropic, OpenAI and DeepSeek) for processing. We do not use your content to train models, and our providers process it only to return results to you. We do not retain the content after the request completes beyond transient processing and standard short-lived operational logs.
4. Account data
You do not need an account to read feeds. An account is only required to use AI features and to manage billing. If you sign up, we store your email, name (if provided), and authentication records in our own independent authentication system. Session cookies are host-only to feedlens.xeviora.com and are not shared with other Xeviora sites.
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive only the basic profile information needed to create your account (email and name).
5. Credits and payment processing
AI usage is metered in credits. We keep an append-only ledger of credit grants and usage tied to your account.
Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com ("Paddle"). Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing information (such as name, email, billing address, country and payment details) as an independent data controller in order to process your order, calculate taxes, prevent fraud and meet its legal obligations. We never receive or store your full card details. We receive limited order information from Paddle (such as your email, country, plan and transaction status) to provide the service. See Paddle’s Privacy Notice: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.
6. Service providers
We use the following providers to run FeedLens. Each processes data only on our behalf:
- Hosting: Vercel (website and API).
- Database: a managed PostgreSQL provider (account, subscription and credit ledger records).
- Sign-in: Google and GitHub, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- AI processing: OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to (see section 3).
- Payments: Paddle, as an independent controller (see section 5).
7. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not track your browsing across the web.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on the website or inside the extension.
- We do not read your feeds or reading history — they never leave your device.
8. Data retention & deletion
Local data lives only in your browser; uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage removes it. To delete your account and associated AI/billing records, contact us at the address below and we will remove them, subject to legal and accounting retention requirements.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@xeviora.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
