FeedLens (“we”, “us”) is a product of Xeviora. This policy explains what data the FeedLens Chrome extension and the FeedLens website (feedlens.xeviora.com) collect, and why. Our core principle is simple: your feeds and reading history stay on your device, and AI features are strictly opt-in.
1. Your reading data stays local
The extension stores your subscriptions, folders, read/starred state, and cached article content in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data is never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can export or delete it at any time from the extension’s Settings (OPML export and JSON backup).
Fetching a feed or extracting an article’s full text is a direct request from your browser to the publisher’s server. We do not proxy, log, or see those requests.
2. AI features (opt-in)
AI features — Summarize, Translate, Daily Digest, and Smart Filter — are disabled by default. When you explicitly trigger one, only the specific text you act on (e.g., the article you’re summarizing, or the titles/summaries you’re filtering) is sent to our backend, which forwards it to our AI inference provider (OpenRouter) to generate the result. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not retain the content after the request completes beyond transient processing and standard short-lived operational logs.
3. Account data
You do not need an account to read feeds. An account is only required to use AI features beyond the free trial and to manage billing. If you sign up, we store your email, name (if provided), and authentication records via our own independent authentication system. Session cookies are host-only to feedlens.xeviora.com and are not shared with other Xeviora sites.
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive only the basic profile information needed to create your account (email and name).
4. Credits and payments
AI usage is metered in credits. We keep an append-only ledger of credit grants and usage tied to your account. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record (Xeviora is the seller). We never receive or store your full card details — Paddle handles all payment data. See Paddle’s privacy policy for how they process payment information.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not track your browsing across the web.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers inside the extension.
- We do not read your feeds or reading history — they never leave your device.
6. Data retention & deletion
Local data lives only in your browser; uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage removes it. To delete your account and associated AI/billing records, contact us at the address below and we will remove them, subject to legal and accounting retention requirements.
